- Traditional mechanical gauges, core components with Bourdon Tubes, and dial thermometers with dual-metal or expansion-based detection methods observe pressure and temperature changes caused by conduction of media. The values are then determined and recorded via dial indicators.

- Using pressure/temperature sensing elements, analog signals are converted into digital signals and displayed on digital displays, giving users a more convenient way to record and overcome the limitations of traditional dial indicators.
